Role Overview

As a Front-End Developer at ByteForth, you'll own the entire user-facing layer of our applications. You'll work closely with our backend engineers, designers, and product team to build interfaces that are not only beautiful but also performant and accessible. From component architecture to state management, you'll make critical decisions that shape how our applications function and feel.

You'll be responsible for implementing new features, optimizing existing code, and ensuring our applications deliver exceptional experiences across all devices and browsers. This role offers genuine autonomy—we trust you to make smart technical choices and deliver results without micromanagement.

Key Responsibilities

• ▹Build and maintain responsive, high-performance web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, or similar)
• ▹Translate design mockups and wireframes into pixel-perfect, accessible user interfaces
• ▹Implement robust state management patterns and ensure smooth data flow between components
• ▹Optimize application performance through code splitting, lazy loading, and efficient rendering strategies
• ▹Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following industry best practices
• ▹Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints
• ▹Debug cross-browser compatibility issues and ensure consistent experiences across platforms
• ▹Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to maintain high code quality standards

What We Look For

• ▹3 to 5 years of professional front-end development experience
• ▹Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• ▹Hands-on experience with at least one major JavaScript framework (React preferred, but Vue or Angular experience is valuable)
• ▹Solid understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development
• ▹Experience with version control systems, particularly Git
• ▹Familiarity with modern build tools and bundlers (Webpack, Vite, or similar)
• ▹Understanding of web performance optimization techniques and accessibility standards
• ▹Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment

Nice-to-Haves

• ▹Experience with TypeScript and type-safe development practices
• ▹Familiarity with CSS preprocessors (Sass, Less) or CSS-in-JS solutions (Styled Components, Emotion)
• ▹Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress)
• ▹Experience integrating AI/ML features or working with real-time data streams
• ▹Understanding of Next.js, SSR, or other server-side rendering frameworks
