Role Overview

As a React Native Developer at ByteForth, you'll own the complete mobile experience for our client projects and internal products. You'll architect cross-platform applications that feel native on both iOS and Android, integrate seamlessly with AI-powered backends, and deliver the kind of performance and polish that sets industry standards. This role demands both technical depth and creative problem-solving—you'll be translating complex requirements into intuitive mobile experiences that users love.

You'll work directly with designers, backend engineers, and product stakeholders to ship features that drive real business value. Whether it's building a sophisticated automation dashboard, creating AI-powered mobile interfaces, or optimizing performance for millions of users, your code will be at the heart of products that matter.

Key Responsibilities

• ▹Architect and develop production-grade React Native applications for iOS and Android platforms, ensuring optimal performance, responsiveness, and native feel across devices
• ▹Collaborate closely with design and backend teams to implement pixel-perfect UIs and integrate RESTful APIs, GraphQL endpoints, and real-time data streams
• ▹Write clean, maintainable code following industry best practices, implementing comprehensive testing strategies including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end testing
• ▹Optimize application performance by identifying bottlenecks, reducing bundle sizes, implementing efficient state management, and ensuring smooth animations at 60fps
• ▹Implement robust state management solutions using Redux, MobX, or modern alternatives like Zustand or Recoil for complex application architectures
• ▹Bridge native modules when necessary, writing native code in Swift/Objective-C or Kotlin/Java to access platform-specific features and APIs
• ▹Participate in code reviews and technical discussions, mentoring junior developers and contributing to our engineering culture of continuous improvement
• ▹Stay current with React Native ecosystem updates, emerging libraries, and mobile development trends to keep our technical stack modern and competitive

What We Look For

• ▹3–5 years of professional experience building and shipping mobile applications with React Native, with at least 2 applications published to the App Store and Google Play
• ▹Strong JavaScript and TypeScript expertise, with deep understanding of ES6+ features, async programming patterns, and type-safe development practices
• ▹Proven experience with React fundamentals including hooks, context API, component lifecycle, performance optimization techniques, and modern patterns
• ▹Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns such as MVC, MVVM, or Clean Architecture, and ability to structure scalable codebases
• ▹Experience with state management libraries like Redux, MobX, or Context API, including middleware, selectors, and best practices for complex state
• ▹Familiarity with native build tools including Xcode, Android Studio, Fastlane, and CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
• ▹API integration expertise working with RESTful services, GraphQL, WebSockets, and handling authentication, error states, and offline functionality
• ▹Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues across JavaScript, native modules, and platform-specific behaviors

Nice-to-Haves

• ▹Experience with Expo ecosystem and managed workflows, or experience migrating from Expo to bare React Native
• ▹Knowledge of native iOS/Android development in Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, or Java for custom module development
• ▹Familiarity with animation libraries like React Native Reanimated, Lottie, or Skia for creating delightful user experiences
• ▹Experience with AI/ML integration in mobile apps, including TensorFlow Lite, Core ML, or cloud-based AI services
• ▹Contributions to open-source React Native projects or published libraries on npm demonstrating technical leadership
